A frontline governorship aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba state and immediate past Minister for State for Niger Delta Affairs, Dickson Darius Ishaku has commended the Supreme Court judgment affirming Abubakar Danladi as the new acting governor of Taraba state; describing the judgment as end to tyranny in the state.
Ishaku in a statement on Friday said the judgment signifies a new dawn in the politics and governance of Taraba state. He urged the people of the state to brace up for another peaceful reign witnessed under Governor Danbaba Suntai leadership.
According to Ishaku, “our state has witnessed oppression in the last two years when Graba Umar took over the reign of leadership. Umar failed to write his name in gold but instead brought crisis and untold hardship to the people of the southern Taraba and the once peaceful state in general.”
Ishaku who noted that the Supreme Court judgment has restored hope in Taraba state urged the new leadership of the state to restore peace and discipline in governance.
He further noted that the task of restoring sanity in the governance of Taraba state should be the priority of the new acting governor who must to everything possible to redress the injustice perpetrated by sacked Garba Umar administration.
