A bomb explosion occurred on Friday night in Kano City, north-west Nigeria.
Reports reaching our news desk say that a suicide bomber drove a bomb-laden car into a filling station at Hotoro area, killing at least six persons.
The suicide bomber was said to have died on the spot, while five others including three policemen also died.
The scene of the latest explosion is near the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) mega filling station.
Prompt News recalls that a female suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device at the filling station in July while women were on queue to buy cheap kerosene.
As at the time of filing this report, security operatives were said to have arrived the scene of the explosion.
