In a bid to strengthen and renew the existing mutual relationship between the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command and the University of Osun, Management of Uniosun led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), Professor Anthony Kola-Olusanya paid a courtesy call on 3rd March, 2022, to the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja.

The DVC, Prof. Kola-Olusanya who represented the Vice Chancellor (VC) commended the Corps for its relentless efforts in securing lives and property in Osun State in general and the university community in particular.

He further stated that the higher institution would need more of the Command’s assistance as UNIOSUN will be hosting Pro-Chancellors of state owned universities in the country at the forthcoming 6th Biennial Conference.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor confirmed the readiness of all state owned Vice Chancellors in Nigeria and other dignitaries to participate in the actively meeting. He stressed the need to beef up security at Uniosun ahead of the event.

In his response, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja expressed his delight at the visit and assured the team that the command would always provide the necessary support before, during and after the conference. He lauded the university for producing quality graduates who could stand shoulder tall with other graduates all over the world.

Commandant Ocheja reiterated that the Corps will not rest on its oars in securing lives and property which is the core mandates of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
