Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed five persons killed in the bomb explosion that rocked the State on Wednesday night.
The explosion also left 12 others injured, the State Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said in a statement issued on Thursday.
The blast was said to have occurred at about 21.45 hours when an improvised explosive device planted at a motor park in Azare was detonated.
According to DSP Mohammed, the injured persons are now receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Azare.
While confirming that investigation into the incident has commenced, the PPRO also said the scene of the incident has been condoned off.
