Barring any last minute change, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will Monday evening announce the new set of Super Eagles coaching staff with Augustine Cerezo Eguavoen continuing as the Head Coach.
Prompt News exclusively gathered in Abuja from a source close to the NFF top echelon that the Executive Board of the Federation has approved the reshuffled list of Super Eagles coaching staff.
According to the source: “The list of new Super Eagles coaches has been approved by the Board and the names of the coaches will be made public later today (Monday). The appropriate organ of the Federation will make the public any moment from now”.
Although the list has not been released, it was reliably gathered that three coaches who assisted Eguavoen in the just concluded 33rd edition of Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon have been replaced by three new faces.
It was learnt that NFF has reached out to the three new coaches to intimate them of the new appointments.
It was gathered that former African Footballer of the Year, Emmanuel Amuneke who was in Cameroon as a Member of CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) makes the list.
Amuneke who led the Golden Eaglets to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup as Head Coach is currently back to Barcelona in Spain where his family resides.
