Sen. Haliru Jika, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has donated 25 vehicles and an office accommodation to All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jika, who presented the items to the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Alhaji Uba Nana, in Bauchi on Monday, said that the donation was aimed strengthening the party.

He expressed happiness that the party was waxing stronger in the state and was now in good stead to win future elections, saying: “We will ensure a successful outing by 2023.

“The party needs the vehicles and the office accommodation at this material time when elections are approaching.”

According to the lawmaker, 20 of the vehicles will be for the local government party chairmen, three for the senatorial districts and the remaining two for the state headquarters of the party.

“The party offices have also been fully equipped with furniture, to ensure minimum comfort of the executive members,” he said.

Speaking at the occasion, the APC chairman lauded Jika’s gestures, assuring that the items would be judiciously utilised for the promotion of the party.

“The party is happy with the donations and I urge others to emulate this spectacular effort of Jika,” Nana said.

He urged party members to remain loyal and continue to support the party in its determination to recapture the state from the ruling party.

In his remark, former Gov. Isa Yuguda commended the senator for his efforts at sustaining the party in the state.

He urged other elected officials to emulate the lawmaker by supporting the party and ensuring its success in the 2023 general elections. (NAN)
