Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has praised his teammates after their superb display in Tuesday’s Group D clash Egypt.
The three-time champions produced a fine display as they defeated the Pharoahs 1-0 in a thrilling encounter at the Stade Roumde Adija, Garoua.
Aina also challenged his teammates to maintain the same level of performance in subsequent games in the competition.
“It’s really great for us, to start the tournament this way, with a win against Egypt, “Aina said after the game.
“To play against Egypt, who are a top side with good players and win our first game in the tournament is really massive.
“Now we have to take it game by game. Our focus is now on the next game against Sudan. Hopefully we will show the same concentration and determination against them.”
The Super Eagles will take on Sudan in their next game on Saturday at the Stade Roumde Adija, Garoua.
