By Olusegun Lawrence Disturbed by the report of the alleged killing of the son of former Bayelsa State governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, Oyamieyifa, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the weekend, Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN) has called for thorough investigation.
In a statement issued Tuesday by his Media Adviser, Ignatius Uzuegbunam, Ndoma-Egba stated that the killing “should be thoroughly investigated by the UAE authorities.”
He said, “This is one incident no parent prays for. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Alamieyeseigha family at this time of unquantifiable grief.”
Also, the Senate Leader condemned the kidnapping of former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Aminu Wali, describing it as “an act of brigandage.”
According to him, “The kidnap is a needless act of brigandage against somebody whose commitment to peace and Justice is total and well-known”, noting that he is “neither a money-bag nor a politically-exposed person”.
He therefore, called for his “release forthwith and unconditionally.”
