Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, Mr Timothy Owoeye, has described the three years of Gov. Gboyega Oyetola as one that has brought tremendous development to the state.
Owoeye, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Alabi, on Friday on the 3rd anniversary of the governor, stated that his administration’s contributions to the development of the state remained indellible and incontestable.
According to him, the ease of doing business in the state has become unparalleled, adding all the bottlenecks that can scare away investors have been removed.
He stressed that the turnaround in the mining, agriculture and tourism sectors were exceptional and outstanding, noting that the state was lucky to be blessed with a ‘silent achiever’ as Oyetola.
The Speaker said, “The governor has been up to the task and he has improved on the standard of infrastructure in the state.
“Roads, health facilities and education, among many others, are not left out.
“Opening up of so many rural roads has had positive and significant effect on the economy of the state, thus making life more pleasant for commuters, motorists and commercial road users.
“The holistic approach to healthcare delivery by the Oyetola-led administration has also positively impacted on the state and enhanced its economic development. It is only people who are healthy that can be productive.
“I have always said that the 7th Assembly, under my watch, will do everything possible to partner with the executive in making life meaningful life to our dear people. If we all have the people as our priority, the relationship will be cordial.”
Owoeye said that it was only in the atmosphere of peace that the state could witness the desired development.
As accredited representatives of the people, he said that the lawmakers had maintained healthy and cordial relationship with the executive arm as their collective resolve to transform the state. (NAN)
