Anambra state Commissioner of Police Echeng Echeng has assured of peaceful election as the people go to the Polls this morning.
He also said that all the flashpoints have been taken care of ahead of today.
According to him: “we have not recorded any incidents since the election started at 8:30am today.
“We have denied the trouble-makers any escape route as our men are on ground across the state especially at the flashpoints like Idemili North,
Idemili South and Ihiala as well as all the border towns with Anambra state”.
Echeng also said that security agencies will go after electoral offenders, urging the people of Anambra state to go about the election with decorum.
