In keeping with the Electoral Laws of Nigeria, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has displayed the Register of prospective Voters who registered with the Commission for the mandatory Claims and Objections excercise
According to information released by INEC, the display of Register of Voters will run from today, Friday, September 24 to Thursday, September 30, 2021, at all INEC Local Government Offices across the country.
Prompt News reports that the display of the Register of Voters by the Commission is to enable registrants make Claims and Objections before INEC commences the issuance of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC).
Meanwhile, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) INEC Public Relations Officer/ HOD, Voter Education and Publicity (VEP), Ndidi Okafor has urged residents to use the opportunity of the display of Register of Voters at the various Council Headquarters to make corrections if any.
Okafor also assured Nigerians who are worried over the suspension of the Continous Voters Registration (CVR) that it will resume soon, pointing out that it was halted to allow INEC meet the milestone of Display of Register of Voters across the country for Claims and Objections excercise which is enshrined in the Electoral Law.
