The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano State Command, Mr Abu Abdu-Tambuwal, has tasked 159 promoted officers to rededicate themselves to better service delivery.
Abdu-Tambuwal told the officers to respect the rule of law, in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Abdullahi, on Monday in Kano.
The Commandant made the call while decorating the officers who passed the 2020 promotion exam in the Command with their new ranks.
The decorated officers, according to the statement, are: seven Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) and 22 Chief Superintendents of Corp(CSC) to Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC).
Others are: three Superintendents of Corp(SC) promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Corp(CSC), 10 Deputy Superintendents of Corp (DSC) to Superintendent of Corp (SC) and 50 Assistant Superintendent of Corp 1(ASC) promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Corp (DSC).
The rest are: twenty-one Assistant Superintendents of Corp 11 (ASC) promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Corp 1(ASC) and 46 Inspectors of Corp 2 (IC) to promoted to Inspectors of Corp 1.
Abdu-Tambuwal congratulated the officers for their elevation to the new ranks and advised them to be determined and respect the rights of the citizens.
“With the coming of the new leadership, we have seen the commitment and seriousness of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi, in terms of staff welfare, you should reciprocate the gesture by working hard,” he said. (NAN)
