Mr Temitope Fashedemi, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Police Affairs has called for collaboration and team work among agencies under the ministry to ensure efficient service delivery.
Mr Odutayo Oluseyi, the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
He said the Permanent Secretary made the pledge during a courtesy visit by the Management of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (PTF).
Fashedemi pledged to run an open door policy to actualise the mandate of the ministry for the good of Nigerians.
According to him, with the support of the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, we will run an open door policy to achieve the mandate of the Ministry.
He said the idea was to justify the trust and confidence bestowed on them by President Muhammadu Buhari to provide realistic policies that would guarantee the internal security of the country.
Mr Ahmed Sokoto, the Executive Secretary of NPTF, said the visit was to congratulate the Permanent Secretary on his appointment.
He said the wealth of experience and invaluable contributions of the permanent secretary to the Public Service and the nation at large could not be underestimated.
The Executive Secretary called for corporation and pledged the willingness of NPTF to work with the ministry as a team to realise its mandate.
“It is therefore, imperative that we work as a team to realise the set objectives and to move the Nigeria Police Force Forward,” the statement quoted Sokoto as saying.
Sokoto said NPTF was envisioned to build a well equipped and well motivated Nigeria Police Force that would be prompt and responsive to security challenges in line with global standards and best practices.
He said the mission of the fund was to provide the critical needs that would ensure the overall improvement and efficiency in the discharge of police duties.
