Satguru Maharajji, the founder of One Love Family, has advised critics of the Nigerian nation to stop their criticisms and believe in the Nigerian project.
Maharajji gave the advice during a press conference in Ibadan on Thursday, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Maharaj ji group and 27 years of his declaration of “No war in Nigeria.”
The anniversary of the Maharajji group coincides with Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary.
He called on the haters of the country to love and celebrate Nigeria at 60, saying “she will continue to wax stronger as a united nation.’’
Maharaj ji urged Nigerians to eschew bitterness and refrain from acts that would exacerbate acrimonious tendencies among various ethnic groups in the country.
He also called on Nigerian leaders across the socio-political , economic, cultural and religious divide to shun acts that could affect the common good and well-being of the people.
“It is expected that Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary will bring about the much desired turning point and change of heart of the people.
” I want Nigerians to be aware that the country will be great. There is nothing wrong with Nigeria, if we are doing the right thing,” Mahrajji said.
He also called on the Federal Government to bring back toll-gates on major highways and the accrued revenue should be channeled towards provision of infrastructure and welfare package for the people.
“Human beings are always at their best when they are happy and in their state of happiness.
” They become highly productive as positive tools in nation building when they enjoy the dividend of democracy.
“We need a leader who will be able to make use of the limited resources in the country to better the lives of the people,” he said.
Maharajji urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of President Muhammadu Buhari”s administration.
