The Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT FA, Abba Mohammed Mouktar has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to ensure that they apply transparency and fairness in the appointment of national team coaches.
Mouktar, who made this known in a telephone chat, said the selection must be open and transparent to ensure that only the best Coaches are selected to handle the various National teams especially the age grade teams.
“Let the NFF give the job to the best coaches especially at the age grade levels. That’s the foundation of the future Super Eagles. We must take that very serious.
“I am not concerned that the national teams do not have the technical crews, all I am more concerned about is that the selection process should be very transparent and allow the best qualified coaches get the jobs so that the foundation of the Super Eagles must grow from there.
“The youth teams, we must set out target for them, and we must take care of them properly because they’re the future of tomorrow, that will come into the Super Eagles. So, I am not worried because we have a lot of good coaches in Nigeria that are qualified to handle the national team jobs but I want the process to be open and everyone be carried along” Mouktar concluded.
