By Gracious Akujobi Contrary to speculations in the media, Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo is not in a hurry to leave England.
The Chelsea FC defender who just completed a loan season at Middlesbrough FC of England told Prompt News exclusively in Abuja that leaving England is not an option for him.
“I have read and heard all that is said in the media about clubs that need my signature for the next season, the truth is that I don’t want to leave England
“I will not leave because of money because money is not everything
“I will go back to my parent club (Chelsea) if they want to use me fine but if not they may decide to loan me back to Middlesbrough or any other team of their choice
“The bottom line is I want to remain in England for the next five years” he told Prompt News
It will be recalled that Kenneth Omeruo sustained a knee injury that kept him out of FIFA Confederation cup in Brazil last year.
He however chose to play at a lower division in England instead of warming the bench in Chelsea to boost his chances of playing for the Super Eagles at the World Cup.
Omeruo made the 30-man list released by Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi a fortnight ago.
