A member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency in Ebonyi state, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, has lamented exclusion of the state in the list of career ambassadors nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prompt News recalls that the President on Tuesday forwarded the list of 42 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
However, there is no nominee from Ebonyi state, prompting Hon Ogah to call on Mr President to correct it by nominating a career ambassador from the state.
The Rep member also frowned at the exclusion of Ebonyi state in the appointment of about 33 Judges for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, by the National Judicial Council, calling for observance of the principle of federal character as enshrined in the constitution.
“Whenever appointment is to be made, principles of Federal Character Commission should be used to give every zone sense of belonging. It promotes equity, oneness and justice”, the APC lawmaker pointed out.
