Two people suspected of coronavirus are currently in isolation at the General hospital in Akwanga, Nasarawa state.
One of them, a lady who hails from Ibadan is alleged to have escaped from isolation in Abuja and headed straight to Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.
A source who spoke to our correspondent revealed that, “the Lady was traced through her cell phone and intercepted at the house of one Deacon Moses , behind ERCC Kurmin Tagwaye, Along Wamba road, Akwanga.”
The second person, a farmer from Rinze, recently returned from selling his farm produce in Kano.
His neighbors being very alert, called and reported him to the state health authority for proper examination.
The duo have since been placed on isolation at the General Hospital Akwanga, pending when the result of the tests arrives.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner for health, Ahmed Yahaya who confirmed the isolation has urged the people not to panic.
The Commissioner said that, “I am pleased that the people are alert and reporting travelers among them to the health authority for prompt action.”
According to him, non of the them is showing any symptom of corona virus. However, their samples have been collected and taken to Abuja for testing
