Lagos, Kano States and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, top the list as 49 new Covid-19 cases are confirmed.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced via its Twitter handle @NCDCgov that Ogun, Oyo and Ekiti also recorded new cases, raising the total to 542.
The tweets read: “Forty-nine new cases of #COVID19 have been reported:
23 in Lagos12 in FCT10 in Kano2 in Ogun1 in Oyo1 in Ekiti
“As at 10:40 pm 18th April there are 542 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
Discharged: 166, Deaths: 19 #TakeResponsibility
“As at 10:40 pm 18th April, number of states with confirmed cases of #COVID19: 19 + FCT.”
Prompt News reports that three deaths were recorded today in Lagos, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
