Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State says Nigeria lost a dedicated administrator by the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Yahaya expressed the sadness in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Ismaila Misilli, in Gombe on Saturday.
“Nigeria has indeed lost a fine and dedicated gentleman, a patriot and a reliable administrator, who was always mindful of his duties and responsibilities,” he said.
The governor said that the late chief of staff would be remembered for his exemplary leadership, effective service, dedication and loyalty.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Gombe State, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to Mr President, the family of the deceased and the government and people of his home state, Borno, over this great loss,” he said.
Yahaya prayed that the Almighty God would grant Kyari rest and give his family and the nation at large the fortitude to bear his death.
