Kwara United FC of Ilorin has said that it plans to crush Spotlight of Katsina in Ilorin on Saturday as both teams file out for week 12 of the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The Chief Coach of the Afonja Warriors, Ali Zubair in Ilorin on Thursday said the club is still pained by the outcome of week 11 encounter against Plateau United in Jos last Saturday.
He said the team has put the match behind it and that they are ready to quench the light of their opponent from Katsina.
The Kwara United Chief Coach added that the players have been told to forget what happened in Jos in Week 11 and focus on the next task at hand which is Spotlight.
Ali praised his players for their high of maturity shown against Plateau United and demanded same from them as they face a team above them on the log after week 11 matches.
In his words, the fitness Coach of the team, Rasheed Badmus, maintained that no amount of pressure would make the team shift its attention away from taking the team back to the Premier League.
He expressed confidence in the caliber of players the technical crew have put together to get the team one of the promotion tickets.
Badmus urged the players to justify the confidence reposed in them by the technical crew led by Samson Unuanel.
Also speaking, one of Kwara United creative midfielders Dare Ojo, said his mates are in spirit to continue their hundred percent home record this season.
Ojo added that the players would be all out on Saturday to repeat the kind of performance put up against Adamawa United in week 10 in Ilorin, where they recorded a 5-1 victory over their visitors.
Kwara United defeated Offa United 4-0 in the second semi-final of the 2014 State Federation Cup on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Segun Alebiosu scored a brace while Lateef Adigun added to his tally before Adeshina Gata completed rout.
The result means the Afonja Warriors have now set a date with their city rivals Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC (ABS FC) which had earlier on Tuesday defeated Kwara Feeders 2-1.
