The National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has saluted Nigerian on the occasion of Easter in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Oritsejafor says the celebration calls for sober reflection as we reflect on the suffering and the crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross?
The death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, he says signifies total redemption for mankind and called on Nigerians to imbibe the good virtues of Jesus who laid His life for the sins of the world.
The CAN President stated that Easter is one of the most important pillars of Christianity because Jesus died and resurrection on the third day which is the bases for the Christian faith.
He challenged Nigerians to live peacefully with one another irrespective of religious, tribal and political differences for the progress of the country.
He also challenged the political class to watch their utterances ahead of the 2015 election.
Pastor Ayo was optimistic that Nigeria will overcome its many challenges and called for more prayers by everyone.
