As Christians all over the world celebrates the feast of Passover, the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has called for positive attitudinal change among Nigerians.
According to the Governor, the Feast of Passover is very significant to every Christian and as such, all evil thoughts, deeds and actions that are retrogressive to the nation’s growth and development should be abandoned.
The Governor spoke Monday while decorating his Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Richmond Gbiwen with his new rank of Superintendent of Police. The Governor was assisted by the Commissioner of Police in charge of the state command, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba.
“Today is Passover day and that means God has given every Christian, every Nigerian the mark to change from doing evil deeds for the growth of our country,” the Governor said while congratulating Mr. Gbiwen on his promotion.
Governor Uduaghan observed that the future of Nigeria was very bright if people could jettison their evil thoughts and deeds and be more committed to the growth of the country.
He disclosed that Mr. Gbiwen was his second ADC to be so promoted during his tenure as governor of the state.
The Governor while congratulating Mr Gbiwen on his promotion prayed for him and urged him not to relent in rendering quality service to Nigeria.
In his response, Mr Gbiwen thanked the Governor and the Commissioner of Police for giving him the opportunity to carry out his functions and assured that with God, he will continue to carry out his official assignments without fear or favour.
