Determined to reposition the Nigeria National League (NNL) to meet with the best international best practice, Nigeria’s second tier football league has been fully registered as a limited liability company.
The league will henceforth be known as Nigeria National League Limited and this has been etched in the certificate of incorporation which has just been received by the Chairman of NNL, Emeka Inyama in Abuja.
According to the Executive Member of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the NNL secretariat has received the certificate of incorporation with registration number RC 1182549 from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Speaking on the latest development, Inyama disclosed that the incorporation of the league body will enhance the marketability of the NNL just as he believes that the registration has given the secretariat the impetus to go the extra mile to reposition the league to the benefit of the stakeholders.
It will be recalled that the NNL had at its last Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Abuja last December approved the incorporation of the league body in order to allow corporate bodies partner with it to move the league forward as they will not put their money in the league ran by the government.
