By Gracious Akujobi The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has stated that it will not lose sleep over some Super Eagles players who are not regular starters in their clubs.
Musa Amadu, NFF General Secretary who disclosed this to Prompt News, also advised Nigerians not to be bothered as well.
He is of the view that their inaction in their clubs could turn out to be a blessing in disguise to the national team at the world Cup in Brazil.
Amadu said since they are all training very hard in their various clubs, not being regular starters may really not affect their performances at the world cup.
“I don’t think that is a problem, I don’t think we need to put ourselves under any form of pressure.
“There is what they call burn out in football, all those players who are playing regularly for their clubs and they are going to participate in the World Cup could at the end of the day at the World Cup get burnt out.
“I am confident that our boys are training regularly with their teams, they are playing in competitions not just the league whether it is for ten or twenty minutes, they are getting action and they are training vigorously.
“From the friendly they played against Mexico, you can see there was no sign that any one of them looked match rusty.
“I am confident that when the team comes to camp to prepare for the World Cup they will be fully ready for the battle they will face in Brazil” the NFF scribe stated.
