A Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja on Thursday remanded a 22-year-old man Isreal Moses, in prison, for allegedly stealing 10 litres of fuel.
The Judge, Ibrahim Balarabe, ordered the remand of Moses in prison and adjourned the matter until Sept. 26 for hearing.
The defendant is facing a two-count charge of criminal trespass and theft.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Police Prosecutor John Okpa, told the court that the complainant, Ogabu Ogbenye of Kubwa, Abuja reported the matter at the Kubwa Police Station on Sept.1.
Okpa said the defendant criminally entered the complainant’s house and stole 10 litres of fuel without his consent.
He said the offences contravened sections 342 and 287 of the Penal Code.
