New Zealand Head Coach, Tom Sermanni has put his trust on experienced players to achieve his aim of leading the country to a greater height in the 8th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup final in France. revealed today his 23-woman squad list to compete at the FIFA Women’s World Cup this June.
For this reason no fewer than 17 players who played for the Ferns in the last World Cup have been included in the final list of 23 players by Sermanni.
The Oceanian Champions will face-off Group E opponents-Canada, Cameroon and Netherlands in France.
“It is a very experienced side that will be heading to France with 17 players having featured in the last World Cup in Canada”, the coach said.
The New Zealanders have played a total of 4 international friendlies since the beginning of this year, registering 2 wins against Argentina and Norway and two defeats (recorded at the hands of Australia and South Korea).
