Three-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, the United States of America (USA) has released the list of 23 players who will represent the country in the 8th edition of the global football fiesta in France this summer.
Head Coach Jill Ellis relied on experience and current form to pick the squad which she believes will help the team to lift the coveted trophy for the fourth time in history.
Expectedly, Coach Ellis selected veteran goalscorers- Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapione, Christen Press, Mallory Pugh and Tobin Heath as well as midfield enforcers Lindsey Horan and Samantha Mewis.
Also in the team are dependable defenders Kelly O’Hara and Becky Sauerbrunn who will give cover to reliable goalkeepers Ashlyn Harris and Alyssa Naeher.
