The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday in Awka decorated Mrs Uche Chukwurah as Corps Commander, following her promotion.
Mr Keyinde Adeleye, FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer RS5, Benin, decorated Chukwurah who was until her promotion a Deputy Corps Commander and Sector Head of Operations in Anambra.
Adeleye, who represented the Corps Marshall at the event, said he was proud of the track records of Chukwurah and prayed for greater heights in her career.
Introducing Chukwurah, Mr Andrew Kumapayi, Sector Commander of FRSC Anambra, described her as a proactive, dedicated, professional and responsible officer who was deserving of her promotion.
Kumapayi congratulated her and urged her not to relent on her efforts which had seen her rise through the ranks since the 27 years that she had put to service.
He charged her to brace up for greater responsibility as the reward for good job was more work.
Chukwurah thanked the management and top hierarchy of FRSC for finding her worthy of the elevation and promised to justify the confidence reposed in her.
She also thanked her colleagues who supported her career, especially her Sector Commander, adding that she would continue to pray for them.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event was witnessed by Mr Mustapha Dandaura, Commissioner of Police; Mr Sule Momodu, Commander NDLEA and a representative of Mr Yusuf Isyiaku Director of DSS all in Anambra.
Also, her husband, Mr Frank and Mr Isaac Ameh, FRSC Sector Commander in Delta among other top officials of FRSC witnessed the event.
