With the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) U-18 and U-20 championships ended, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) says athletes will soon be called to camp.
Nigeria, which featured no fewer than 86 athletes in the competition which ended on April 20, came third in both categories.
Sunday Adeleye, the Technical Director of AFN told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, that there would be trials for the African Games in June.
“We thank God for the medals won. We have put the CAA championships behind us and we will continue working because the African Games is around the corner.
“We hope to organise the trials in June because the Games is in August,” he said.
