Seychelles have landed in Abuja Nigeria for Friday’s clash with the Super Eagles in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers billed for the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

The 29-man delegation of the Pirates arrived aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight Tuesday afternoon, and would be flown to Asaba on Wednesday according to a media release from the Nigeria Football Federation.

Group leaders Nigeria have already secured their place in the finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and will be in the pot for the draw on Friday, 12th April at CAF’s headquarters in Cairo, while the Pirates were long eliminated and have only come to fulfill a formality of the official fixtures.

The Pirates of Seychelles are expected fight for their national pride in the dead rubber match of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers against the Super Eagles.

Nigeria are gunning for their fourth win in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers against Seychelles. Recall the reverse fixture ended on a sour note for Seychelles who lost 3-0 at the Stade Linite, Victoria –  with Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem getting on the score sheet.

The Eagles will face the Pharaohs of Egypt, who are seven-time champions and record winners of the continent’s most prestigious football diadem in a friendly in their next game next Tuesday also at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
