The number of workers enrolled in the Retirement Savings Account ( RSA) under Contributory Pension Scheme increased marginally to 8,410,184 from 8,136,202 fourth quarter of 2018, National Bureau of Statistics ( NBS) said.
The bureau, in its latest data put pension fund asset during the period at N8,637m as against N8,323m in Q2 2018.
Of the investment portion, FGN Bonds had the highest weight percentage of 52.49% of the total pension fund assets followed by treasury bills with 19.37% weight and local money market securities with 8.21% weight while foreign money market securities has the least with 0.04% weight.
Participants within the age distribution 30-39yrs have the highest percentage composition closely followed by participants within the age bracket of 40-49yrs and 50-59yrs while participants above 65years had the least percentage composition.
