By Godwin Kingsley, Lafia The Vice Chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Vincent Ado Tenede has called on the newly matriculated students of the Institution to take their studies serious in order to excel.
Prof. Vincent made the call at the 11th matriculation ceremony of NOUN in Lafia, Saturday.
The VC who was represented by the Lafia Centre Director Mrs. Rhoda Ezim said the university is at the verge of perfecting it’s online facilitation to ensure a hitch free study career.
He added that two new schools and a centre has been added to the institution by the National University Commission (NUC).
“Two new schools have been added to the institution. They are the School of Health Science and School of Agricultural Science. Formally, we were having only five schools but we now have 7. We have also added a centre which is centre for live long learning. This centre offers certificate and diploma programmes to students”, he said.
Speaking to journalist at the end of the occasion, the Centre Director said Lafia Centre has matriculated over 156 students for 2013/2014 academic session. She urged students to be well behaved and hardworking in order to achieve their goals.
