By: Godwin Kingsley, Lafia. Former Governor of Nasarawa state and senator representing Nasarawa West in the Senate, Abdullahi Adamu has said the defecting lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), would employ other means to get their letter read should the Senate President continue to keep mute on the letter.
The senator disclosed this in a chat with journalists at his hometown, Keffi, Saturday.
According to Adamu, the eleven PDP lawmakers are making consultations to employ other viable means of getting their letter read.
“We have alternative. There is a professor, each time I have a problem he teaches me how to solve it.
“And there is a way he wants us to go about this issue. You know that there are a lot of formulae to use.
“If you want to touch your nose there are many ways to touch it. So, let’s be patient”, he said.
Adamu said although, he was a founding father of PDP but jump ship to the All Progressive Congress (APC) when the rights of members were being trampled upon and impunity started gaining popularity.
His words, “When this problem started, if you are good in current affairs, you would notice that for over four months we were making complaints. I went to the house of the former chairman of the PDP Bamanga Tukur on several occasions and I even have access to the president but all our
advice fell on deaf ears. We went as far as forming a concerned group in Nasarawa state but all efforts were futile.
“It was just a conspiracy to make things not work and those that were my errand boys, who rolled on my back to get to the top. Now, I am now a daft to them because they have gotten to the Promised Land. No right thinking person will want to stay back at the party”.
He also debunked rumours making the rounds that he is planning to hijack the party structure of the APC in the state stressing that it is the handi-work of mischief makers.
Adamu however, declined making any comment on the suspension of the deputy governor by the interim leadership of the state’s APC, stating that he has not been well briefed on the issue.
