The Igbo wife of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Barr. Jenifer Jamilah Douglas Abubakar on Thursday stormed Ebonyi state to solicit the support of the chairman south east governors’ forum, David Umahi.
Abubakar’s wife stormed Ebonyi in company of many prominent stakeholders/ women that matter in south east zone and was received by the wife of Ebonyi state governor, Mrs Rechal Umahi at the Sani-Abacha Presidential lodge, government house Abakaliki.
Jenifer and her entourage entered into a closed door meeting that lasted for about three hours with the wife of Ebonyi state governor alongside all PDP women leaders that hail from the 13 local government areas of the state.
Prompt News Online gathered that the purpose of the visit was to appeal to the wife of Umahi to talk to husband (David Umahi) to support Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 Presidential election.
A source who spoke on condition of annonimity said Atiku’s wife told her host that south east, especially Ebonyi will stand better chance to gain much in Atiku Abubakar’s government if elected President in 2019.
