Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association Lagos Branch holds its 2018 annual luncheon on Sunday December 2nd at 1.30pm at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island.
The event which will feature talk, music, art exhibition and sale, will close the activities of the association for the year.
The high point of the day will be the presentation of the S.B Agodo Award to an outstanding mariner who has impacted the branch.
Mr Fola Adeola, pioneer MD/CEO of Guaranty Trust Bank is the Chairman; while Mr Chamberlain Oyibo, oil industry technocrat and former Group Managing Director of NNPC, will deliver the keynote address on Old School Values and Societal Progress.
Mr Oyibo is an old boy of Government College Umuahia. Seplat Plc CEO Mr Austin Avuru is Guest of Honour.
The luncheon is a fitting opportunity for old boys and their guests to unwind and reminisce their days in school.
Mr Victor Eromosele, Chairman of the Luncheon Organising Committee, says this year’s luncheon will also be used to raise funds for infrastructural intervention at the school, especially through the art sale, featuring exquisite paintings.
He added that the luncheon will be strictly by invitation and advised old boys yet to register for the event to contact the secretariat for their invitation cards.
