Determined to win the semi final match between Nigeria and Cameroon in Accra on Tuesday in the on-going 11th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), Super Falcons Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby has ruled that his girls will have their first training session at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
The reigning African Champions who whitewashed the harpless Equatorial Guinea 6-0 in the last Group B tie at Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday are billed to depart their Elmina Beach Resort, Cape Coast on Sunday morning for Accra to prepare for the grudge encounter between Nigeria and Cameroon.
Nigeria had beaten Cameroon two years ago in the final of the last AWCON courtesy of a Desire Oparanozie lone goal to lift the African trophy for a record 8- times and is poised to defeat them again on Tuesday.
Dennerby who is desperate to help the Super Falcons to finish among the top three teams to pick one of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 tickets has disclosed that the team will be in Accra early enough to train from Sunday evening.
