The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Benue, Mr Yakubu Mohammed, says four persons died in a road accident that occurred on Thursday in Makurdi.
Mohammed said that the accident occured at11:48 a.m. at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, Wannune, in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue.
He said that the injured persons were 15 persons.
He said that both the injured and the dead had been taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital and NKST Hospital both in Wannune.
“Only one vehicle was involved, a Toyota Hiace which was conveying 19 people.
“Out of the number 18 persons are females and one male adult.
“The cause of the accident is speeding,” Mohammed said.(NAN)
