Three minors were on Tuesday docked in an Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada, FCT, for allegedly stealing foodstuffs.
The police changed the minors who reside in Dagiri, Gwagwalada with criminal conspiracy, house breaking and theft.
The Prosecution Counsel, Abdullahi Tanko told the court that the complainant, Mrs Adu Hannah of same address reported the matter at the Gwagwalada Police Station on Nov. 11, 2023.
Tanko said the defendants trespassed into the complainant’s house and also stole a phone tab worth N70,000 and a laptop worth N180,000.
The police also alleged that the minors stole two pairs of men shoes, MP3 radio, electric iron and N29,200 cash.
He said that on Jan. 15, one of the minors was caught with the stolen phone.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 97, 346 and 287 of the Penal code.

The Judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim, released the minors to their parents and ordered them to sign a bond to produce them in court.
Abdulkarim adjourned the case until Feb. 22 for hearing. (NAN)
