Three people have died in a house fire in southern France, while three others were seriously injured during the night, a spokesman for the fire brigade said on Sunday morning.
Other people were slightly injured in the incident in the historic centre of the south-eastern French town of Grasse in the hills above the French Riviera resort of Cannes.
French media reported that the staircase of the five-storey building was on fire.
The fire broke out at around 3 a.m. (0100 GMT) and was put under control by 6 a.m.
Neighbouring houses were not damaged. (dpa/NAN)
