The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a socio-political group, has voiced its unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, warning against attempts by northern politicians to challenge his re-election bid in 2027.
In a statement titled “2027: It’s Tinubu or Nobody”, the South East Coordinator of SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwere, emphasized the group’s confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and urged those aspiring for the presidency to respect his tenure.
Enwere acknowledged Tinubu’s strides in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges and fostering stability in governance, saying:
“Although critics claim Tinubu has placed the economy on life support, others acknowledge his efforts to bring stability to governance. From our review of his nearly two years in office, it is evident that he has improved policy coordination and taken steps to address pressing issues.”
Highlighting Tinubu’s visit to Enugu to commission projects, Enwere described it as a testament to the president’s commitment to the development of the South East.
He also praised Tinubu’s political will in tackling socio-economic challenges and fostering peace across the nation.
The group firmly advised northern politicians contemplating a 2027 presidential bid to step aside and allow Tinubu to complete his tenure.
“For the northern political hawks seeking to unseat him in 2027, we advise they step aside and wait their turn. For Tinubu, it’s 4 + 4 = 8,” Enwere declared.
SERHA pledged its unyielding support for Tinubu’s re-election campaign, describing their resolve as a “battle of No Retreat, No Surrender.”
The statement concluded with a bold declaration:
“Tinubu’s vision to lift Nigeria and Africa out of poverty is proof that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock come 2027.”
