The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Super Eagles will welcome Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Uyo on Friday, June 7.
The encounter is a matchday three fixture, with the Super Eagles also scheduled to take on the Squirrels of Benin Republic also in June.
The Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana 4-2 on penalties the last time both teams met in the semi-final at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The West Africans are winless in their group with two draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Bafana Bafana are second in the World Cup qualifying group with three points from two matches, a point ahead of third-placed Nigeria.
Rwanda top the six-team section on four points with the overall winners advancing automatically to the 2026 World Cup to be jointly hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico.
