Samuel Chukwueze could miss Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Squirrels of Benin Republic due to injury.
Chukwueze failed to complete AC Milan’s league clash with Cagliari last weekend.
Portugal international Rafael Leao took his place after the break.
“Muscle problem in the left thigh for Chukwueze,” Milan Post confirmed his injury on X afterwards.
The winger was not invited for Nigeria’s friendlies against Ghana and Mali in March.
The Super Eagles will take on the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.
The three-time African champions will also face neighbours Benin Republic few days later. READ ALSO:

The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in Group C after drawing their opening two games Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
