Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has been named in best X1 of Round of 16 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The best X1 was compiled by popular statistics website, whoscored.com.
Plumptre put up a solid display as Randy Waldrum’s side exited the competition following a 4-2 penalty shootout defeat to the Three Lionesses of England.
The 24-year-old won a massive 11 aerial duels, made three tackles, completed three dribbles and also hit the woodwork once in the thrilling contest.

Zecira Musovic (Sweden), Ellie Carpenter (Australia), Jess Carter (England), Alex Greenwood (England), Aitana Bonmati (Spain), Andi Sullivan (USA), Eugenie Le Sommer (France), Kenza Dali (France), Kadidiatou Diani (France) and Salma Paralluelo (Spain) also made the Team of the Round.
