Even as he is scorned for not having a political structure, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Gregory Obi, pulled a massive crowd in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Friday, January 20,2023 when his campaign train arrived the Tin City.
Prompt News reports that Obi was in Plateau state along with his Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed; Mrs. Margaret Obi and Hajia Aisha Baba-Ahmed as well as former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and other top State and National Officers of Labour Party.
The team had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty Jacob Gyang Buba to receive a royal blessings before heading to the
Rwang Pam Stadium, venue of the rally.
Prompt News reports the Plateau state rally was the biggest the Labour Party has held since the commencement of the campaign in any state of the North.
The party had earlier held its rally in Kaduna state on Wednesday, then moved to Niger state on Thursday before the Friday’s Plateau state rally.
The Rwang Pam stadium, venue of the rally surged with enthusiastic supporters of Peter Obi, leaving party officials and security personnel with hectic times managing the crowd.

While addressing the monarch, Obi said he has advised donor agencies in his recent trips abroad to stop giving Nigeria aid.
His argument is that Nigeria is capable of being a great nation with the right leadership.
Obi also held a town hall meeting with students from Plateau state where he reeled out his plans to transform Nigeria.
The Labour Party flagbearer also told the mammoth crowd that he and his running mate will ensure that insecurity will be a thing of the past if they are voted in to become the next President and Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria on February 25, 2023.
