Three days to Nigeria’s first match against reigning Olympic champions Canada at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, the Super Falcons have continued to train harder at their Lions FC training ground in Brisbane just as Nigerians in the City of Brisbane paid a surprised visit to the team.
PROMPT NEWS reports that a handful of Nigerians in Brisbane watched the team’s Tuesday training at Queensland Lions FC ground and had a chance to wish the Nigerian contingent in Australia good luck in their matches.
According to our sources, Australia-based Nigerians came out in their numbers to cheer the Super Falcons during their training session and used the occasion to interact with the team and pledged to come to the stadiums to support the Nigerian girls.
It has been the tradition for Super Falcons to receive Nigerians leaving in the cities they have camped during big competitions like the FIFA FIFA Women’s World Cup final.
