Victor Osimhen is optimistic the Super Eagles can secure the ultimate prize at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Jose Peseiro’s side will be gunning for a fourth title when hostilities starts in the West African nation in January 2024.
The Super Eagles will face Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
Osimhen reckoned that the players are in buoyant mood and are looking forward to the start of the biennial competition.
“We are ready and preparing very well,” Osimhen told CAF Media.
“The squad is in high spirits. We are raring to go and hope that we shall do well there.”

The Super Eagles will face fellow West Africans Equatorial Guinea in their first game at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on January 14.
The 34th edition of the 2023 edition of the AFCON finals will run from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
