The Gambians will be making their debut outing at the junior category when they take on Burkina Faso away in Ouagadogou tomorrow, Saturday.
“We’ve played their senior national in the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and I think they (Burkina Faso U-20 women’s team) can’t be better than their seniors. The girls that I have here can give them a very good game,” said Bah.
“The spirit is high and the girls are ready. We’re going out there to get a result.”
Bah has named a strong squad of 20 players for the away fixture this weekend after finalizing their technical preparations at Bakau’s Independence Stadium.
The squad comprises of the same players that played for the U-17s with the new inclusion being Red Scorpions’ Ola Buwaro.
The Gambia surprised the footballing world when its women’s U-17s qualified for the 2012 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan and this new generation of players will be hoping to go one better by claiming a spot for the tourney to be co-hosted by Panama and Costa Rica in August.
