Ogunjobi and the immediate past NFF President Aminu Maigari, are jostling to unseat the incumbent President and CAF Vice President Amaju Pinnick.
According to Ogunjobi, if elected, his focus would be:

4. Restructuring of welfare infrastructure
5. Grassroots Development (Empowerment of State Football Associations)
6. Administration in accordance to the Rule of Law
7. Increase in standard of football competition
8. To embrace and promote Association Football
Already, FIFA has named Messrs Luca Piazza and Solomon Mudege as its Observers to Thursday’s elections into the Nigeria Football Federation Executive Committee 2018-2022.
Also, the Confederation of African Football, through a letter addressed to the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi and signed by CAF Secretary General, Amr Fahmy, designated a Member of its Executive Committee, Mr. Sita Sangare, as its Observer to the big event.
