Apparently to curtail all acts of match manipulation in the 2018 Nigerian League season, any match official especially Match Commissioner who is found wanting will be suspended or prosecuted.
Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Executive Committee member, Alhaji Babagana Kalli has warned that heavy sanctions await any Match Commissioner who is found to have compromised his position during the upcoming league season.
Speaking to the media today at the NFF Annual Match Commissioners Seminar holding in Abuja. He said that the job of the Match Commissioner is too important in the game of football that the official meeting must be above board.
According to him the role of the Match Commissioner in the smooth organization of a football match can not be overemphasized hence the need to have a serious-minded person to perform the task.
Kalli who is also the Chairman of Borno state Football Association however hinted that any Match Commissioner found wanting in the 2018 Nigeria Football League season will be suspended, prosecuted and penalized. He pointed out that any act inimical to the good of the game will be punished.
